It was started to induce the qualities of defence preparedness and bravery in the people. Apart from mock battles, the poetry and music competitions are held in this 3-day festival. In this festival, the army members of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, also called the Nihang Singhs, exhibit their swordsmanship and horse riding skills with mock battles.
