After having breakfast, depart to Delhi airport to board the Leh flight. Once you reached Leh, our guide will help you to check into the hotel at Leh. Either you can rest or move around the local markets of Leh while enjoying the captivating landscapes. Leh’s Tibetan market has a lively aura, and you will love to shop here. Stay overnight.

After finishing your lip-smacking breakfast, you will move towards Spituk by the road, which is around 8km away. Spituk boasts of having an 11th-century Buddhist monastery. Thereafter, cross the river Indus. On the route, you will visit the Valley of Zinchen River. Here, you will have to walk for 4 long hours and enjoy the camping experience overnight. Stay overnight at the Zinchen camp.

After having breakfast at Markha Valley, enjoy trekking towards Yurutse, passing through Stok-la and Stok Kangri. For long 3 hours trekking, thereafter, the lush green environment will delight you. After crossing the river and full-day trekking, you will have another amazing night at Yurutse. Stay overnight.

After having breakfast, move to Skiu, passing through Ganda La. Enjoy trekking all along the mountainside, passing through a small valley. Going downwards for 2 hours, you will reach the market, Shingo. After reaching Markha valley, there is only a few hundred meters distance to Skiu. Stay overnight at skiu camp.

Your 6th day of the Markha Valley trek tour starts with the lush green jungles around the Markha river bank. Continue your trekking, passing the river marker bank and going downwards to reach the Markha Village. The camping here will relax your senses, and you will love the local surroundings. Do not forget to have some pictures. Enjoy communicating with the locals and know their stories. Overnight stay at Markha camp.

After having breakfast, you will continue trekking to the main valley on the river bank’s right side. The Markha River generally flows with high currents, which may cause difficulty to the trekkers. Explore the Humlung Monastery and enjoy its peaceful aura. Thereafter, you will move to Hankar by walking along the river bank. Communicate with the locals here and stay overnight at Hankar camp.

Continue your trekking by walking on the river bank’s right side across the Markha valley. The valley is steep and narrow here, so you may find the trek challenging. After crossing a few bridges, you will reach Tchatchutse. Move ahead to Nimaling, which offers breathtaking views of Ladakh valley. Also, it provides magnetic scenes of King Yangtze. Stay overnight at the Nimaling Camp.

After crossing the valley Markha, you will reach Kongmaru La. While trekking to Chukirmo, you will feel the adrenaline pump. After crossing the right and Left River’s bank, you will reach Shang Sumdo. It is a marvelous camping spot to explore. After trekking for one more hour, you will visit a Buddhist monastery. Stay overnight at Shang Sumdo bank.

Booked to visit one of the most prominent Buddhist monasteries of Ladakh,Hemis. In this monastery, a humongous thangka, one of the world’s largest thangkas, is showcased once every 12 years. You will feel a calm environment when Buddhist monks will chant spiritual mantras. Stay overnight at Hemis.

Your 11th day of the Markha Valley Trek tour is booked to visit the Shey monastery and Leh palace and markets. At first, you will explore the Shey monastery, which is popular for having Sakyamuni Buddha Statue of 22 ft length and is constructed with pure copper and gilded with gold. In the Ladakh region, it is the second-largest statue of Lord Buddha. Thereafter, move towards Thiksey monastery, which resembles Lhasa’s Potala Palace. You will find a Maitreya statue of 49 ft tall in Thiksey monastery that dates us back to the visit of the 14th Dalai Lama. There are numerous historical elements, including thangkas, scriptures, and swords, in this monastery. Thereafter, explore the Leh Palace nearby the monastery. Also, get time to explore the Leh markets.

Post breakfast, our representative will assist you to board the Delhi flight from Leh airport. Once reached, check-in at the hotel. Get ready to explore the local markets, including Chandni Chowk and Palika Bazar, and enjoy some shopping. Get back to the hotel. Stay overnight in Delhi.
